Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 552 Registered: Mar-07 | because the lines are crooked or just in general? |
Platinum Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA Post Number: 17781 Registered: Oct-05 | no offense taken man. lol. everyone needs second or third opinion. where is the sub gonna go? driving is right about the box. if you are gonna do something like that, you are better off with just a normal port. |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 553 Registered: Mar-07 | like that how would you do the port? |
Silver Member Username: Phil_salisburyPost Number: 510 Registered: Sep-06 | That depends entirely on where the enclosure is going to do in the vehicle?? |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 554 Registered: Mar-07 | its an extended cab truck port pointed to side sub pointed foward. better if the port was the blue spot? |
Gold Member Username: DrivingrecklessDD 9515f, 148.2 db Mov... Post Number: 5333 Registered: Apr-06 | i was just talkin about the picture itself really...kind of a joke. |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 555 Registered: Mar-07 | ok good thought so just makin sure |
Platinum Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA Post Number: 17784 Registered: Oct-05 | i still say you are better off with a simple square port to the side. you might even consider aeroports. |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 556 Registered: Mar-07 | how do i calc for 2 ports i cant fit one square? |
Platinum Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA Post Number: 17785 Registered: Oct-05 | if you do it this way, you can make it so you can change the tuning of the box. that way you can experiment with various tuning to see what you like best. |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 557 Registered: Mar-07 | good idea thnx man. im gonna have to bend it down does that make a diff? |
Silver Member Username: Phil_salisburyPost Number: 512 Registered: Sep-06 | If it's an extended cab truck and the sub is on the slanted baffled, I would fire the port up to have the bass response and output come up and over from behind. Having the port down at the bottom is just going to smother the he!! out of bass no to mention having it reflect off and around alot of crap. |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 558 Registered: Mar-07 | the port would still come out the side is side bad? i meant bend the port inside the box |
Platinum Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA Post Number: 17786 Registered: Oct-05 | how close is that wall of the box going to be to the side of the car? |

Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 7781 Registered: Jun-04 | I did a port setup like this Chad for thieves because he wanted a swappable daily/spl tune except I used two 4 inch pvc ports for his alpha v1 12...he might not like the demensions but its all I could do to with the space he gave me...at least the two ports are straight for a 32 hz tune |
Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 561 Registered: Mar-07 | 18 btl. where should i put port? |

Silver Member Username: Surferdude9371Im BTL Bumpin Post Number: 577 Registered: Mar-07 | thnx canaan wanna throw out your definition of a slot port? |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 7813 Registered: Jun-04 | see I thought he would say its enough room... now you can have a straight port for your daily tune... thats good for output and retuning if you wanted to do that |
