Speakers for minimal cost

I was looking for the cheapest set of loud speakers I can find to provide background music for poolparties and possibly other get togethers like this.

Sound quality is not all that important.

I was looking at some Gemini GSM-3200 speakers to do the job. I know their quality is probably poor but I can not seem to find anything comparable in size for the price. Any suggestions?

How much are the Gemini's? What stores do you have access to? Do they need to be small, large?

.

If sound quality is not all that important, why bother to shop? Buy the cheapest you can find.

He's probably going to need something a little bigger than the Insignias for pool parties.

Do you have a local Guitar Center or another similar store in your area? That's where I'd start.

I just noticed the name Bob Sagget. Classic.

I'm reminded of his famous "Mari juana is not a drug" line from Half Baked.

What about your local pawnshops? The ones around me always have big, loud, bad-assed speakers.

The Geminis are Dual 15 3 way speakers...

They are passive speakers, but I do not need the flexibility of active speakers. I can get a pair of these for about $460 I can not find any speakers comparable for the size and price.

And for speed and Decibels it seems to usually follow a similar rule: There is no replacement for displacement.

The only reason I ask the question about the Geminis is I don't want to buy them and have them making clapping noises or whistling because the box was not engineered right or the drivers are poorly vented.

I think you'll be fine. How many pool parties have been ruined by ppl commenting on the SQ of the set? How many parties do you host in a year? 15s will probably disturb some neighbors. Have any lol? Invite them then.
