Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 40 Registered: Jan-08 | I installed the repoint kit on my super d 121, I have 110 and 119, but as for 118, tried many settings with xtreme, I can't get it start from 11715, and the rest scan up with channel number in 4000+. my 119 does not get signals at 12224 but 12239 and above, perhaps need to fine tune the antenna. it is in Vegas, nv. please advise, thank you all. |

Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 42 Registered: Jan-08 | the LNB I got is from the dn pro, not the generic. I did many different scan, blind scan, different settings, individual tp. no luck. the meter did not showed any Q when @11715, only took a second to do the scan at that freq. I did move the antenna to east maybe 2mm, now I lost many channels on 110, I have total of about 3~400 on both 110, 119. perhaps the skews? |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 43 Registered: Jan-08 | fyi the blind scan I did on 118.7 get different freq than lyngsat*com posted, and they fall into 4000 range in station id. |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 2178 Registered: Oct-06 | First thing to do is get 110 back Don't worry about 118 for now Work on 110 and 119 (pointing and skew) Once yo get both 110/119 118.7 is just simply different frequency 118.7 is same pointing as 119 on One LNB |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 44 Registered: Jan-08 | I had 110/119/121 on super d, replaced with new dp repoint kit which is 118/119, 110. the one I had was 110/119(center) and 121(west) by it self, since 110 is to the far west on the new bracket now, which way should I move? as I was doing the skew this morning, I did not notice any drop, how can I be certain? thank you. |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 2181 Registered: Oct-06 | I know what yo had before your new 110/119 directly next to each other Yo won't move much less than one inch But like I said above Work on getting 110 first Looking in front of dish 119 on right, 110 on left Do correct skew Over all minor tweek to what yo had before |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 46 Registered: Jan-08 | thanx, will try again first thing in the morning. |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 47 Registered: Jan-08 | got so screw up here, I hook everything outside by the antenna, everything was there, the signals are perfectly strong, did a scan on 11715, got all, then move everything back in, still good there, did a full scan, not there anymore. took them out to the antenna, still not there, darn it. any idea? |
Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 7234 Registered: Jun-06 | New ECM on DN started at about 12:30 Eastern. That could be the reason why. |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 48 Registered: Jan-08 | would that cause the signal not coming in at all? every time when it down, the signal seems to be always there. I create a sat with only one freq 11715, the Q was @75~80, now it flux between 0~30, so there is no way I can lock it. |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 52 Registered: Jan-08 | what are the chances of getting a bad lnb? for a minutes it was strong then can't lock to if the next, I can't do a blind scan to get any channels on this tp without any signal in to get lock. |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 61 Registered: Jan-08 | I finally got it thru, and I still don't know where the problem exactly is, but here is another little Q. the same settings on xtreme and pro, but xtreme got the channels at where they are suppose to be, but pro got them in the 4000+. anybody knows anything? thank you for the help. |
Bronze Member Username: ChadapPost Number: 14 Registered: Nov-07 | to get rid of 4000+, you must use Sat 121 with starting TP as 11715 and edit remaining from lyngsat. This should scan on correct channel numbers |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 65 Registered: Jan-08 | thanx chadap, but does it make any sense getting different results with the SAME settings on two xtreme? |
Bronze Member Username: Jet9508Post Number: 20 Registered: Jul-06 | i have viewsat x, how do you create new satellite name, from which menu. thanks |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 76 Registered: Jan-08 | from channel search, choose add sat, from there you can change the name of the sat, entering tp for the sat. if you need info for the sat tp, check lyngsat com |
Bronze Member Username: Jet9508Post Number: 21 Registered: Jul-06 | thanks mad flea, I'll try later. |
Bronze Member Username: Jet9508Post Number: 22 Registered: Jul-06 | I just set up lnb freq 10600, tp 11715, 7/8 v 20000, and blind scan, only have 16 channel from echo 7 (119) came in, I am using direct tv 18x20 dish with triple lnb, is it good for 118 too. I try to get asian channel from 118. thanks |
Bronze Member Username: Madflea168Post Number: 80 Registered: Jan-08 | you will need bigger one like super d, believed some said like 30 some said 33, I an't sure, but bigger the better for 118. lnb freq, I set it @ 10750, cuz @10600 did not work for me. and make sure you have the right lnb. go search the forum, there are a lot on this issue. |
