New member Username: Kylebigmac09Post Number: 1 Registered: Jan-08 | I am interested in getting a nice sound system for my car. The problem is that I know nothing about audio systems at all. I want to get new door speakers and a sub, but thats about as far as I can get with my limited knowledge. I'm not interested in showing off much, I just want super good quality sound. What size speakers should I get/will fit, what kind of accessories will I need, and what brands do you recommend? My car is an '06 Ford Ranger. Because of that, I need a sub that is small enough to fit behind or under the seat. I'm not looking to spend a ton on this, so please no $600 speakers. :p |

Bronze Member Username: ExigePost Number: 58 Registered: Nov-07 | CDT goes in the Highly Recommended section for speakers...then goes in Good for the general section? Hm, just about all they make is speakers (besides a few subs). Besides that point...crossfire, hifonics, coustics, MTX on the same list as CDT? that's why i stopped posting that list and similar ones a long time ago. they're simply not trustworthy and cannot always provide even a good rule of thumb. i think my favorite one on that list though might be the Infinity Kappa components placed in the highly recommended category...that's good for a hearty laugh. bah humbug. |

Silver Member Username: Drant19DUB-C, TX Post Number: 204 Registered: Aug-07 | i think the crossfire amps are great amps. they do rated power and a bit more. one of their vr1000 amps did a bench of over 1200 at my local audio shop. they always push crossfire. ive never had a problem with mine and ive had it for 2 years. its not a vr1000 but its a 4channel. |
