Wow. We'll I kind of understand what your saying, then I don't. But I'll ask some question then you just say thats what your trying to say or w/e. Anyways.
So your say that your front left was making some weird noises similiar to distortion? Then you disconnected your rca's going to the sub amplifier and the noise was still present? and then you uninstalled everything, then reinstalled everything and you still get some distortion? Is this distortion coming from all over such as your subwoofers, and front speakers? There could be a couple of things. 1. Your headunit is bad. 2. Your rca's are bad, could of been spliced open. 3. Your amplifiers are gone. To test this, use a home receiver, send the rca out of the reciever into your car amplifer, turn on your car to get the amps running. Play something, if there is no noise, then it is your headunit. If that does not work go to test number 2. Change out your rca's since they are very cheap to replace. Use to cheap ones to connect from your HU directly to your amplifer. Don't try to make it pretty just run it straight across the seats and such. If that doesn't work go to test number 3: Swap out your amp for another one and see if any of the noises go away. Also, make sure your settings on your headunit are correct as well as your amplifiers. Sub amps are set to LPF around 80hz. Speaker amps are set at HPF around 80-120hz depending on your listening habits. Now correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm trying to understand where you are coming from.
