i got about 700$ to spend and im thinking this is what im gonna do
1. (4) 18" mach 5 audio MJ subs all single 4 ohm
2. power it with (2) 2200 power acoustik 2 channel amps note: might get the 2600
3. kicker 4 gauge wire kit
4. custom sealed box with subs facing up
this will be going into a 2002 escalade and i have the 3rd row seat took out and my last set-up was a kicker 1200.1 with a 15 inch L7 but do u think if i go with this setup it would out pump (2) 15 inch L7 subs? i know these are SQ subs but they should get very loud knowing im getting 4 of them
It would be loud and sound good. There is probably better, but that's not bad by any means as far as the subs go. I would not recommend the PA amps tho. Also, you won't be able to run a 4-gauge kit with that much power. You'll need to go with 1/0 gauge.

im getting the kicker 1/0 wire kit by the way not the 4 and i dunno about all of you but the speakers really seem to be good for the money which 1 only cost 116 shipped
Hey you're the guy asking about the amp over on CA right? That amp would work awesome with those subs. Are those amps you listed the ov2-2200d? Cause if it is, they are really only rated at 900rms at 4 ohm.
yea sounds like hes going to need alot more than 700 dollars sheez my setup cost like 2 Grand and its only 2 12" and a single amp with HO alt etc etc so i know tht 4 18" will cost alot more than tht.
Dwight kinda seems like you got ripped off. you gotta know where to buy. i bought 2 15" RE SXs 07's and an 07 MD 2D built my own box using my stock stereo and my total came out to 550 dollars so yeah and i can guarantee you my system will be louder than your 2 12" DD's.

i'm not hating and i have a stock head unit by choice i dont wanna loose the stock look and the steering wheel controls i actually own a really nice Panasonic HU.
