if i jtag my pansat 2700a reciever with a bad com port will i be able to load the new bin along the process. i know the jtag is to give life to a dead reciever, but can i use it to load a new bin?
There are some bin's which have been modified for clones and flashing via a jtag connection. I can't recall if I seen a recent one for the 2700 anywhere I know there some for the 2500/2700 conversion boxes..

WHERE THE HELL does it say the conversion bin will work for 2700...
Pulp: I was not criticising you, so please don't get offended. I simply wanted to prevent this guy from jumping to get the conversion jtag BIN which is readily available or somebody posting a URL to it.
Hi everyone, my power has been out because of a storm this morning. I know we have not received a new bin, and I still have some channels, can you get me up to speed. I read about the jtag, not sure whats going on. Thanks Patient LauraD
hey guys... thanks for all the advice and such, i really do appreciate the shared knowledge, but i think its time this electrical brick hit the ol' trash pile. Maybe i can convince the old lady to invest in a high def stb. this box has given me years of service and earned its purple heart for being mortally wounded in action.
