Friday, January 11, 2008 - 19:10 GMT ive been told they get loud on 600 watts,im gonna give mine 2000-2500 watts hope i dont blow it,they like around 1500 watts, its rated at 1000 watts, but u cant hurt a sub underpowering it.but it would beat a se in output,i say get the sx,then just get a bigger amp latter down the road

Friday, January 11, 2008 - 19:17 GMT not sure about the new perfects but the old ones were suprisingly loud, and thoes babys were clean too, very good SQ for the amount of output.

Friday, January 11, 2008 - 19:39 GMT Ive actually heard the w3's in a car before and they were very nice and clear but i think that my kappas were louder and so did the guy who had the w3's. he also had a hatch back rsx and i have a trunk car so id say the kappas. i am not sure how big his box was but it was deffinately ported.

Friday, January 11, 2008 - 19:39 GMT See heres the thing...I asked him what model number they are and he said that they were kappas that he got off ebay new like 3 years ago...they are all white with about 1.3 inches of rubber suround and they look like the new infinity kappas...so I really don't know what the RMS is on them...he said he thinks that they are like 300 each but I think they take more because they never distort when I turn up the gain...

Friday, January 11, 2008 - 19:44 GMT wattage dosnt nessicarily mean more spl. there are some cars and setups that will hit 140+ with only like 300 watts.

Friday, January 11, 2008 - 20:09 GMT really? i once hooked up my 500 watt sub channel on my kicker zx700.5 to my perfects just to test it out and it was only a little less loud than when i had them hooked up to my 1000rms phoenix gold. i mean it was noticable but deffinately a lot more output then i would have expected from half the wattage. but yea 3bd is alot to the ears. every 10 db = double the volume to the ears.
