Can't go wrong with any terrier breed honestly. problem is the way people treat little dogs. lotta people (especially men) complain about little dogs being yippy and annoying and stuff but it's because the peopl who own them generally don't treat them appropriately. They treat them like little babies, holding them all the time, spoiling them, responding to every noise or move they make with constant attention. It is NOT a coincidence that this is why small dogs also have problems with anxiety, obsessive disorders, and other complexes more commonly than larger dogs. people who prefer larger dogs are generally more in touch with the fact that a dog is a dog and a human is a human, they are different species. the 2 go great together, and i'm all for loving one's dog and even spoling them occasionally but you gotta look at them as dogs. people who treat their dogs like people also think their dogs are much happier than they really are. Cesar Millan, who is truly THE Dog Whisperer, says the most important thing a dog owner can ever know for a happy, healthy, mentally balanced dog is: Exercise, Discipline, Affection. IN THAT ORDER! |
