BUT, all is not well... i ended up loosing a good chunk of dB from the usual sweet spot of 30-40hz. however i gained a good amount below 30hz and a whole lot at 50hz+, which was just not there before. sub is facing up, port firing into the back of the passenger seat. i haven't sealed off my trunk yet though. will this yield results if i do?? il get pics up tomorrow... |

Now with a lot of experimenting this has proven to be optimal for my vehicle, effectively removing the trunk area from the cabin and eliminating most of the back wave from box flex. Gold Member Username: Livin_loudDo Work Fi Audio Post Number: 2139 Registered: Jan-06 | i like the setup Polo, however i don't think i'll ever go that far haha. well this is how things currently stand. its a huge mess lol. basically just moved the box to the back seat which i didn't bother taking out... unfortunately im thinking this box isn't going to work if i want to keep it like this soo... i figure i have 2 options from this point. 1. i can keep the back seat off, put my box back in the trunk and see what happens, trying it port in and then port back 2. if i'm not satisfied i'll have to build a new box because this one doesn't quite fit. in the last pic it shows the box coming in past the point that seals the trunk off. i'm definitely not happy where it stands so option 1 will be put into action tomorrow... |
