Viewsat Ultra settings question.

Hi, I can't seem to find the thread that I started last week, so I'll re-explain my situation.
I'm receiving plenty of channels, however I haven't ever been able to receive more than 3 or 4 PPV's. The FTA Tester told me to get a DP34 switch, I just installed it, but I'm still having the same problem.

My problem is as followed. In the antenna set-up the sat that's being displayed in the upper right corner doesn't match the sat that I'm on (i.e. When I'm on 110 in the Antenna Setup, it displays 119 on the super-imposed info in the upper right of screen.)
BTW I tried scanning 1 sat at a time, but no improvement.

these are my settings for a Viewsat Ultra,Dish500 with DP PLUS dual LNB's

Antenna Setup
SATELLITE-Echo 8,10 110.0w (for some reason Echo7 119.0w is displayed in the corner instead of 8,110)
LNB POWER-On
LNB TYPE-OCS-DP
LNB FREQ-11250
22KHz-Off
TP FREQ-12224 (I of course change this to 12239 when in the 119.0w setting)
DISEqC1.0- Port 1 for 119 and port 2 for 110(I've left these settings as None prior to using the DP34 switch that I just installed)
MOTOR-Off
LEGACY SW-none
Same info as above for set-up of 110 except that I leave the TP on 12224.
BTW my signal is 76% and the quality is usually 100% and "locked" is displayed when scanning, but every so often "failed" flashes. Does this indicate the problem?

in your settings you say in the corner it reads 119

that tells you what lnb the receiver is looking at

play with disq settings to get that to match up

also its best to only connect one lnb at a time when scanning for channels

I am getting ready to redo my guide and include the easy scanning instructions

Turn your dish a little to the left to catch both sats

The antenna is pointed 100% so moving the antenna at this point would not help.

I downloaded virgin factory files from dssrookie and I think they fixed the settings, but now they're messed up again.Somehow I was able to correct the settings,(( (i.e. When I was on 110 in the Antenna Setup, it displays 119 on the super-imposed info in the upper right of screen. Then I got these settings back, now their messed up again)))

In the virgin file that I mentioned it contains 3 files. #1 Chaninfo.cha Do I need this or am I supposed to create my own?
# 2 Mainpg.pgm Is this an old bin or is this something that I need?
#3 Satinfo.sat When I install this the info in the Receiver Info window comes up as U007
and the sat file info from viewsatusa comes up as U006. Which sat file should I use?

I'm certain that I'm not the only one to face this problem, Is there a book (viewsat for dummies) available for purchase that will provide all info for my ViewsatUltra?
Thanks again

BTW the only files that I have are as followed.
PFTAUSW-080104U-1.PGM from TheTotal.
Viewsat_Ultr_v131.pgm from Viewsat.
Satinfo_07.sat from viewsat

Do I need anything else?

Rob,
In the Antenna setup for 110w. Not down all the settings. Then go to 119w and edit it and put all the settings exactly same there.
Now 119w will show 119w on your top corner.

Next. Go back to 110W and change the DisEQC or the DP31 swtich port to the next increment. i.e. if it is port 1 make it port 2. or if port 2 make it port 3.
Change the TP settings a little bit till you start getting the Q signal. Wait for a couple of secs and the correct sat should show up there as well.
