I do not know how you peps keep faithful to these expensive doorstops....the last week has been a horror show with people dying and coders in bereavement and sites being hijacked and now peoples machines are going down with the new bins...every other post lately is a viewsat user in trouble...glad I have lowly pansats...

I agree with you Psychmonster. Too many people get into threads to spam and confuse others.

Pansat had the bin's out what a few hours before viewsat and you are so proud.

The viewsat has a better picture, is smart enough to ID the sat it is pointed at, has great support and is cheeper than a pansat.

I have here a pansat 3500sd and a viewsat platinum.
The pansat can not operate the motor correctly I grew tired of fighting it every day so I got the viewsat and connected the pansat to a static dish antenna. The pansat still losses its memory about once a week and we have to reload it.

The viewsat I set up once, found 17 sat's with the motor and it always reambers were to move the motor to...each tie theirs a new bin for it I load the new bin, load the satfile, and channel list and thats all....it works just like before....

the pansat....has to have its antenna settings re adjusted almost every day they change for some unknown reason....we almost hate this receiver and keep it parked on foxnews or cartoons for the kids.

just my thoughts

Well FTA, I have both, and I have to admit and was suprised that the Pansat has no delay when changing channels wheras the VS averages a 10 sec delay and almost a 20sec delay at times.

THoronto, I was here then also, and your right VS was first to come with fix. Hey I don't give a rats @ss which receiver is better, I have both and use both at the same time in different rooms. I'm not partial to either box, I am just pointing out what I notice between the 2 boxes this go round, thats all. Believe there have been times when pansat had bugs and VS was clean. To me there all the same.

I was here also...I remember how VS owners were crowing all over the place that BL bought the fix from them...all I said was I am glad I do not have a VS ...they are having big problems...FTA is apologising and defending at the same time...

The current "split" of totalfta*com and the thetotalfta.com, makes me think if the core problem was money - the coders wanting so much, one group of partners or decision makers agreeing and the other not agreeing.

that still does not explain why some machines are going down with the VS bev fix...something more sinister is afoot...maybe the powers that be are starting kaos at the top of the pecking order?
