i disconnected my 97 passat stock radio over a year ago. now i need to put the radio back in however when reconnecting it, it won't turn on. the display shows nothing, not even signs of it being in safe mode. is my radio damaged or could there be another reason it won't connect properly?
Check the fuses, if they are fine and seem not to be blown, is there a reset button for the ECU? Try to connect it and then disconnect the battery. Does the factory harness appear to be ok?
