Then from there it would pass through an http proxy software on your comouter and on to it's destination, the internet. Something like freeproxy or tor would work as the software. Esentially if you have no idea how to setup a proxy other than a browser proxy you have alot of reading ahead of you lol It's better done with an internal router opposed to an external one since configuring the interal is pretty simple if you know the commands. Either way as I say, you need to hit google and start doing some reading. this thread is a take off from the dreambox verses infusion thread so you know where i am coming from . well i have done some googleing and wonder if i am on the right track here. here is a link of where i think i need start to do this stuff. http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm am i correct???? this is a very large topic on google that goes every witch way so it's hard to know what's what when you don't know nothing to start with any help will be appreciated ............ post your link's and comments here >>>> |

Gold Member Username: Donnie1973Post Number: 2528 Registered: May-06 | this is just how to staticly define ur lan ip addy. U can set up a static ip from ur router is what that is telling u. That could be part of what u need to do... I dont think it will matter tho. Read up on proxy servers. I have never set one up, except going to www.freeproxyserver.com U cant do that though. U need to figure out how to get ur whole connection behind one. |
