I was sick for a while so work has taken much longer than I wanted, but I've finally got a few pics. I'll have the box finished this week for sure (well, 90%).
I ran a new run of 1/0 for the ground, I added the 5th (and probably final) battery, I redid the amp rack and carpeted the stuff that wasn't (the board that holds the batts in place, and the amp rack itself). I rewired the 4channel and the line driver, and redid all the wiring for the batteries, making sure to solder all the connections.

heres a few pics:

Looks awesome, man. So, I'm out of the loop I guess; I thought the BTLs were on their way out?

Looks clean so far, i really like the battery rack. Any reason you went with yellow tops and not a different battery?

Tomarrow I'll be going to get the vinyl and paint, and probably bondoing the top plate. If I can get the vinyl on the box and the new 32hz port I'll probably do that, and put all 4 subs in tuesday. At least it will be able to be run off 1 amp until I can get the top plate in place and ready to take all 4. Then all that will be left will be installing the 4 alts (and I don't know when that will be, probably feb. :-(
Anyway, more pics and progress tomarrow.

Hey? what batteries are those?

They look taller than a normal Yellow top.

I thought they were G31 Yellow's at first glance but noticed the cells aren't staggered.

Cam, no. I'm completely happy with the btls. I just yanked them out to do work. I think I was in a bad mood and put up a post saying "I'm out of the game" just to mock the people who are always whining and posting crap like that, but I'm certainly not- just making things nicer :-)

Jake papa- I chose yellows because that's all anyone around here had. A shop started carrying kinetic batteries, but only after I already had a few of these. Maybe down the road I'll switch, but for now I'm sticking with them.

They're the biggest yellows I could find. I'm really not sure which exactly, I'd have to check tomarrow.

dude that looks bl00dy nice mate, but the amp looks like its gonna end up under the seat, isn't it gonna overheat there unless you rip out the seats?

No, the 4 channel is under the seat, along with some fuse holders and a line driver (and hopefully a RF 360 soon), but the amps are mounted in the rear with the subs. They have plenty of air going to them :-)

Damned vinyl store and paint stores are closed for the new year, which means updates wednesday. :-(
I finished 3/4 rounding the port today, and a little finish sanding. 7.5 x 26w x 16d. Should get me about 31hz in the vehicle, if not slightly lower than that.
I forgot to put a memory card in the camera, so no pics, but I'll post them up tomarrow when I go to fiberglass the new port. I should get the vinyl on and the subs running off 1 amp by then too. Then some time next week I SHOULD get that other memphis 4k back in and shazaam!

Thanks everyone. The box is 49wx23hx42d, with a bunch of fiberglass taking up space, but the threaded rod really doesn't use much. Probably about 19ftnet after all displacement.

I'll be using iraggi alternators (260amp) I think. He makes a bracket for 4 which is pretty important because no one near me can machine one for me.

Happy New Year.

Hopefully he will actually make the bracket properly... his word is not trust-worthy so good luck Troy, hope it all goes smooth.

As long as it doesn't need any fab work I'll be good. What makes you say that rob? When I asked him about alternators over 6 months ago he sent me a quote with prices for a 4-alt bracket, but said it wasn't in production yet. Well now I know I can get one, so I will. I figure I can't put in the # of batts or the type I want right now, but with that much alternator power I hope it will be fine. Atleast keep the voltage around 12v? Anyway, more pics:

The new port in place, I still need to paint and fiberglass it, hopefully that'll be done tomarrow. I don't know if the guy I'm getting to help me vinyl the box will be able to tomarrow or not, so I don't know when I'll have it finished. This week for sure, then the trim plate within another few days?

A few pictures of the bottom of the box. I hope it shows how smooth it is (the camera isn't that great).

The saw-dust in the box that I need to wipe out hides how glossy it is, but aside from a few lumps I need to knock out it's really really smooth inside now.

More tomarrow I hope.
