I have dp 500 dish + dp twin lnb + coolsat4K & 5K. I have 2 cables running from the two lnb ports to the two receivers directly. Somehow, when I watch the 110 bird channel on one tv and the instant I tune the other tv to a 119 bird channel the picture will disappear on one of the tvs. And the picture will briefly alternate between the two tvs but never picture on both tvs at the same time. However, if both tvs were watching channels from the same bird then they were perfectly fine. I was told that it could be the lnb problem so I replaced the twin lnb with a dp quad lnb. The problem still remains. Am I missing something here? Any help appreciated. My dish setting are: lnb power: on lnb type: ocs-dp lnb freq: 11.250 22KHz: off DiSEqC Switch: 1.0 committed: 2(110); 1(119) legacy SW: off
thanks guys. Mine is dishpro Twin Lnb and I'm not using any external switch. It's two coaxial running from the two ports of the lnb to the two receivers
If it is a Dish Pro then the settings by theory is
lnb type ocs-dp disqc settings for 119-1 for 110-2
that being said...
I have here a dish 500 with dish pro connected to a pansat 3500. That set up likes disqc settings 119-3 and 110-4
I have a customers that likes the tone burst better..
point is play with the settings some might disconnect one receiver and get the other one working correctly then reconnect it.....might try reversing the ports on the lnb so the receivers are connected to a diferant port.
also some receivers will NOT play well together with that set up and you may need to get a DP34 switch.....matter of fact i have some info on a special set up for some receivers with that lnb i will go look that up...
sorry I am kinda scarterd brained tonight just had surgery on my arm and between the pain pills and typing one handed....
Tried putting 3 and 4 for 119 & 120. Also tried switching ports to no avails. I neglected to mention that these two receivers worked at my previous home with the same lnb. However, at this house the signal level is only in the 60's on 119 for cs4k while in upper 80's-90's on 119 for the cs5k receiver. I did try to play around with the elevation/skew/rotation of the dish with my friend and that was the best signal that I was able to get. My zipcode is 95829 if anyone knows the settings please provide so I can double check them. BTW, FTA get well soon, we need your knowledge and dedication.
