Will a "lost" ID still be scannable and work??

for example, if my older brother were to ... lose his id and someone generously purchased a new one for him, would the old one still scan successfully at gas stations and what not

They still work in Illinois, Missouri, and Arizona. Im pretty sure all states have there own ID system tho so im not sure if it will work.
All it says when they scan it is the birthdate, address, and name so I dont see why it wouldnt work.

Have fun drinking your cold brews.

Illinois hasn't used a laminate for many years! They use a textured embedded surface, nearly impossible to copy UNLESS you knew someone on the inside who can get a hold of the sheets. Polo..

The magnetic strip on the back actually holds the info. (Think tiny jumpdrive)

They do not get deactivated or anything unless they are demagnatized. All you have to have is a card scanner. I use one all day at work.
