No one ever told you the receiver would allow you to STEAL a satellite company's programing all the time. Most of DN works now just not ppv-movie-ethnic channels plenty to entertain you. I have 2400 channels here from 18 sat's most working "in the clear" all the time every day. Go watch a movie while the coders work on a fix your receiver and stop being so ungrateful for what you have. |

These boxes, if relying on the internet to stay working, will have an ip addy. Or the box it is connected to will. Has to. U are right, no one in ten years has knocked on someones door with an ip addy for these... how long have they been out?? If people keep buying these, they soon will! U can bet on that. People have had their doors knocked on for other illegal activity using an ip addy. MANY TIMES!! MANY VARIOUS REASONS! Not only are u doing something illegal, but using the net makes it worse. Bottom line... if ur ip is sent and recorded at whatever site is required to use theses boxes, u WILL be in trouble one day. They WILL start looking into these if the number of units get high. |
Bronze Member Username: ShitabattiePost Number: 43 Registered: Dec-07 | I dont think they can get you by IP address because most at home routers use DHCP if you have a static IP with your ISP and you use it you should be jail for being stupid .Again if you are behind a proxy server no one will ever know whats going on on your network. The only way they can get you if you are using DHCP is by you MAC address on your router each unit have a unique one.and it is burnt into it by the manufacturers. |

Silver Member Username: PsychmonsterRhodium MemberAint nuthin ... Post Number: 358 Registered: Jul-06 | Current ECM (Explained) - Dec 27 copied from ftaview -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle of the Bulge? Well, this is it folks. I am calling it the Battle of the Bulge. This is the final desperate push by Nagra to defeat all hardware emulators. The stakes could not be higher: if they win, no single stand-alone hardware emulator is coming back. If they lose, they have nothing else to throw at us, at least nothing harder than this. Their tactic is the (expected) timer hash of Map0x57. Map0x57, as most coders know is a convoluted implementation of elliptic curve multiplication (ECC). Timing a standard ECC function is hard enough, but timing a proprietary one is much, much harder - if not impossible. For those who are culturally deprived, the Battle of the Bulge was the last desperate offensive by the Germans, prepared with skill and secrecy, to capture the key strategic city of Bastogne around Christmas of 1944. Greatly outnumbered and outflanked, the allies held the city and the men who survived came to be known as the "Battered Bastar-ds of Bastogne". Lets see what the battered, basta-rd coders can do this time around...wish me luck! Coder |

Bronze Member Username: Smoke74Post Number: 62 Registered: Oct-07 | Of course it is legal mumbo jumbo, but they cannot say use our system to steal satellite signals. They promote their product by offering free legal tv(technically not free Yukon, but still cheaper in long wrong run compared to the 120 a month I was paying for cable) They know that the majority of their profit is from ppl using it the questionable wey, however I live in Canada and I know ppl who use it the way it is intended to be used and that is watching the actual free to air broadcasts. I think if you ask FTA TESTER, he is watching fta broadcasts on some of his billion satellites. |

They're using a "brute force" approach, and while it does take about 10 seconds for a channel to lock in, it IS working. That's right...WORKING ON PPV, PON, and PREMIUMS! Also, as stated in a post last week, the timer value keeps changing, you can see it happen watching the Open Cam run. Timer value changes every 10 to 15 seconds. Their EMU is working, delivering proper control words, so in fact many are watching TV right now. The Linux based stuff requires less horse power to process, but it IS defeatable for non Linux boxes. Give em some time, Coders will come through (as usual) and the game will continue. |
