Kicker vs. rockford fosgate

New member Username: Foxbiker529aolcomPost Number: 1 Registered: Dec-07 | i am trying to decide between a kicker sub and a rockford fosgate sub. the kicker is a 10" kicker comp. the rockford fosgate is a p1s410 (10") the subs are only about 10$ difference in price. and they are both rated for the same power. which one should i choose???? |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 4974 Registered: Jul-06 | You mean for home audio, using a DC power supply? If you do that, make sure to use a sealed battery along with the power supply. Doesn't have to be a big one, with that amp a kentik HC600 or similar would be fine. |

Also it needs to be 14v but I think you knew that....... This electrical system that you're building works the same way as the one in your car, its just smaller. The battery is used to filter the current, and keep things going during peaks if the supply can't produce enough power. Ya know how its bad to run you car just off the alt with no battery in it, the same applys here. |

Silver Member Username: 30hrtzRaleigh, Nc U.s.a Post Number: 155 Registered: Mar-06 | ya but c.c and crutchfield got buy 1 get 1 free on the kicker comps.They are decent on a low budget low power system.2 12s for 99 or 2 10s for 89.hard to beat that.Just port the comps and youll be o.k.If you get hooked on bass like I did youll upgrade quickly.Comps are ok,it just takes alot of them to get loud.Im thinkin of runnin 4 c15s on my p1000.20 cuft tuned to 38hz.5 per sub. |
