My head unit in my car says protect (I think or something like that) and I looked it up and it says that when it says protect one of the door speaker wires is grounded out or theres a short somewhere I think. I have checked all of the speakers and all of the wires on them look fine and are not touching any metal. I reset the head unit and it still says protect. Right before I installed the head unit I had the stock radio in with the after market speakers in my 06 altima and the radio and the speakers all worked. If anyone has any tips on how to find the bad wire or what I should do please let me know. MY system if you need to know is 2-6x9 kickers ks 2- 6.5" ks 1 12" Alpine type R kdc-x890 head unit kenwood kicker amp
I got it checked out today and they said that the head unit is bad. It was good right before I switched it so if anyone knows why or how it went bad only in protection mode let me know?
