Go look at the dreambox as well. Not limited to pay as you use support as the nfsion and at 1/2 the price significantly worth looking into. Also does alot more "tricks" as ANY receiver on the market today...

Dreambox works in the same way as DVB-cards and the Nfusion so yes it is and has been working.....the Nfusion is NOT the only receivers working.

I am sure the owners of the forum's the charge for the support would like for you to think that..

What I did not like about the Nfusion is how you are not in control of it like a dreambox. You are forced to rely on only the pay-for-forums to update it. With the dreambox you can control it 100% and it can stream your receiver via the internet for you to watch-control it away from home!

Hands down if you do a side by side comparison the dreambox wins every time.

cost is less than 1/2

Dreambox $130

Nfusion $290

Support is a monthly fee for nfusion

Support is FREE FREE FREE for DreamBox

Nfusion has trouble with FTA sat's

DreamBox does FTA and DN. BEV, Motor or static Dish Antenna's

They are still developing new "tricks" for the Dreambox to do.....add a HD its a PVR!, Stream the receiver to the Nett watch it from IHOP! You decide what OS to use or make your own! the list goes on and on and on...

I am getting a DreamBox

so after I clearly made a great comparison for how much better the Dreambox is than the Nfusion s you still want to buy a $300 box that is pay-for-use support and does only some of what the Dreambox does. OK heres some links

NFUSION

http://www.ftaboss.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=46_43

$209 for a receiver but I see they are out of stock

http://www.ftafilesupport.com/fta-receiver/Nfusion/nfusion_nova.html

$299 for the box and $15 a month for support

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=nfusion

Ebay averages around $300 for the Nfusion

Still have never seen a link to this free support I have heard about so I must still report it is a-py-for-support receiver. If you have links to the free support would love to see them so we can verify the free support.

Default Brand New to Nfusion....Question
I am seriously considering getting this box, even though I just got a VS Extreme a little over a month ago.

Is it true the boxes go down no longer than an hour? What is the longest the Nfusion has been down? It's so weird cause when I go to FTA sites, there is no section for the Nfusion. I guess cause the box does everything for you???

Any info you can provide would be great.

Any stream changes / or current ECMs are automatically "fixed" on the IKS server(s) and thus
If the box ever goes down, the coders are already aware of the stream changes and have necessary updates on the IKS server.

Turn EMU off in the settings and BAMM........picture comes back almost immediately.

downtime: the longest I think its ever been down for one ECM was about 20 mins

F2ATv.com they have every thing. How to download and step by step information and it's really easy but first time give you hard time. Once you good after receiver can do all for you download new file form receiver. They come pretty fast for all update. If you don't want too much problem buy with wireless bridge.

Dee I for one feel the dreambox is.

It is $130, free support always, does much more than the Nfusion and easy to find to buy. I have asked here in this thread for reason's why the Nfusion is better with no results from anyone so I would say they all agree DREAMBOX is best.

So so far we know this:

Nufusion is working now but was reported down for a time

Dreambox is working now and has been with no breaks from working reported.

The forum for Infusion is very slow and unstable.

The Forum's for Dreambox are fast, free and always able to be accessed.

Nufusion price is $199-$300 on ebay or other sites if they are not out of stock.

DreamBox price is $100-$150 on ebay or other sites if they are not out of stock.

Nufision is WORKING on getting the PVR system to work mabee.

Dreambox is a PVR with just some software and a HD to record to.

DreamBox you control the looks of the OS, Channel list, UPdate from stand alone bin's or viia the nett, Stream the receiver to internet so you can watch your receiver from away from home or share it with a friend, DreamBox can receiver channles from DN, BEV, FTA or any sat you can get, and the receiver easily controlls any set up including but not limited to dish500, motorized dish's etc...

Nfusion has trouble with the true FTA sat's and controlling a Motor....

I still am sold on the DreamBox it is the better receiver...

They both will require some basic computer knowledge and a router to connect them to the internet.

They both have forum's available to help you in each step of getting them working.

I have been studing on both for a while and from were I sit as a newbee to these box's the dreamBox has MORE support, works MORE of the time and does much more.

So in short sorry i got long winded here LoL

yes both will need a computer for updates, and a router for internet connection both of witch you have already probably.

Both are working now. Nfusion has unstable forum for support or pay-for-info and has problems as reported at their forum with PVR and working other sat than DN-BEV and doen not do alot of what the DreamBox does. Cost of the Nfusion is much higher as well.

Lastly I will be here always and am getting the DreamBox next week so will be avable to help users with it. I will get it up and working I am sure within a day of receiving it I have never had trouble with any receiver I have tested.

If you get the higher, low supported, less optional receiver Nusion you will be on your own.

thanks for all the info guys, alot of my friends have the cards and have been up for "a long time" now, but i was told that the cards can be zap and one would need to get a "new" card instead of re-programming the old card, which doesnt work for me. i'm gonna do a little research and see whats up. hey the fta tester, let me know how the dreambox works out for you, thankz.

Far as I know the DM500 is down on bev right now (it was yesterday) and dish premium channels are down just like with most other boxes. The only exception is dream users who are card sharing. Last year the Dreambox was down far longer than captiveworks or viewsat, again the only exception was dream users who were card sharing. The Dreambox is a great idea but it has it's problems. For one to really get the features you have to buy at least a 7020 or 7025 and that will cost you a hell of alot more than 150 bucks, more like 500 bucks plus shipping. Internet card sharing with a dreambox DOES cost money, though from what I recall it's pretty cheap. Dreamboxes are far from user friendly and require alot of know how to get things working properly. Dreamboxes when cardless have issues with autoroll and using motors like alot of boxes.

Nfusion's IKS is free, the support is available from F2ATV and it is free. F2aTV is slow during busy times like any site will be, but what does that really matter if your box is auto updating via the internet? Nfusion is whats working right now plain and simple. It is up on Bev and it is up on Dish premium channels period. People can talk about dreambox doing this or Blacklist promising that but in the end it makes no differance. Those boxes aren't fully up and thats it. Internet card sharing is working on the dreambox but so what? Captiveworks proved last year that internet card sharing could work on thier box too and I believe so did viewsat.

When the DM500 first hit the market it was touted as the invincible box that would never go down, when the N2 switch came like all the other boxes it went down.

The big money boxes will always get fixes first, especially cardless. Coders, with very few exceptions work for money. Whoever pays gets the fix. The DM 500 is the oldest box in the dream line and who knows if support will be discontinued one day or not. Coders who work with the DM's do so because it's a hobby for them. It's probably the only box on the market that doesn't pay for a fix but that means poor support for the end user.

FTA may be a money grab, replacing the recievers instead of going to a dealer and paying for a file. But the reality of it is that nothing is bullet proof and you have to go with whats working at the moment...that would be Nfusion.

I will

On the carded DN receivers I looked into that. Expensive Expensive Expensive...

Only works with certain receivers and they are getting hard to find and pricey when you do..

You have to have the Plastic Card to use. Once again only certain ones and getting pricey around $100-150

The card can be "burned" by DN at ANY TIME so you will need a new card to use...mabee once a month? Once a year? Twice a Year? You never know...

You have to have the hardware to right-read to the card or have a friend do it or pay for it to be done again $100-150

You have to spend ?however? long reading and learning how to do all this...and find the right files to use..

This system only gets DN no BEV, no FTA and NO MOTOR only Static DN dish antenna's

Lastly this is how the guy's that got JAIL TIME and Fines for Hacking Dirt TV got caught.

here are some differances between dreambox and nfusion.

main differences between these two are price.and dream is far advanced over the nfusion.
the dream is not easy to use.don't get one if you don't want to spend many many many hours playing with it.its Linux.
