Fist off please understand some of DN is down at this time. ALL PPV-MOVIE-ETHNOC Channls will be scrambled meaning you will not be able to watch them.
Now that out of the way please tell me a few things,
what is your set up- receiver, antenna, switches, everthing
what have you done so far? Pointed a Dish? Updated the receiver? Ate a sandwich? Anything you have done please tell me so I will know what you need to do now.
the 2 boxes and a dp34 is on the way. i have an extreme box already a buddy set it up. I want to do it myself as i have been doing everything else myself. I have the dish 500 set on 110 and 119. I already have Dirct TV so im going to use that cable. i just need to run the cable off the dp34. the only thing i know is i was told to set the boxes up one at a time. i know how to put in codes and files into the extreme. So far i have done everything except set the box up when it came out of the package.
Just use the dp34 to go the ?3? receivers leave the DTV out of it. You will not be able to use any cable that is running to a direct tv system that would be mass confusion for the receivers.....
Yes the Dish500 is up and pointed i have programming on the extreme. What im asking is liked is there codes other than the new bin that will be coming out to program it. Do I do a blind scan first then load the bin into the box. then i have TV? Im not a 100% sure what a flash is, but do i have to flash it.
Like you open the package. you take the box out and plug it into the wall socket. you hook the cable into the back of it. now what? something like that.
Also what im saying about the DTV system is im just using the cable. its already ran. So ill just use that. im going to cancel DTV for a while. im happy with the basic programs atleast for a while. im not really worried about the po-rn and not to concerned about the premium channels. give me my local and mtv bet usa and a few more channels in there and im happy. Its nice to watch a ppv movie but oh well.
So im looking for a step by step guide. I think Total FTA has what im looking for but that site has been down a few days. maybe someone has it saved where they can copy and paste.
