Box Help.

There is a problem though, i know nothing about building boxes  . I was wondering if anybody could list the major steps you have to take in order to have a great box. Ex, what type of wood, what thickness, how to get a good seal, where to find out how big to make the box, and basically somewhere where i can find out the specs so i can build it to that. I am making a box for a 2 ohm 12" alpine type R for my corolla 94. Thanks for any help, i really need it. |

It cant to too difficult. I sthere like a site or anything on where to look up specs for certain subs. Also how to build a good sub box? |

Silver Member Username: Phil_salisburyPost Number: 472 Registered: Sep-06 | Chad, If you have the skills of basic woodworking/carpentry, building the enclosure should be a breeze for you provided you have the tools to cut the parts to size and put it together. Use the spec's of the subwoofer recommended enclosure and use Resonant Engineer box designer to get the box to the size you want based on what your building it to fit. The designer provides all the parts as to the sizes you need. Now if your for someone to do the leg work for the enclosure spec's/part sizes, speak up as to what the enclosure needs to fit for the space ya have and we'll get it done for ya. The rest is up to you. |

Silver Member Username: Jesse59672OKLAHOMA Post Number: 809 Registered: Feb-07 | it's just your preference, unless your building exactly to alpines recommendations. i think 2.2 cubes @ 35 hz would sound good, but in the end it's just up to you and what kind of music you listen to. |
