Bronze Member Username: Nels2kPost Number: 57 Registered: Mar-06 | i have a smaller 19" already with 110-119 and a 33" with 121, but since my 121 channels are starting to go down im thinking of using the 19" to point to 61.5 and then using the 33" to point to 119-110-101 and 91 if possible. if there is already a post focused on this can someone please post a link, or please help me in telling me if it is even possible so i wont be wasting my time. if possible i guess the 110 would be in the center and approximately how far from the 110 would the 101 and 91 be. Also my dish does not skew (if that makes any difference in the possibility) thanks |

The 5 bracket arms are designed specifically for the newer broad dishes that can scan more than 20 degrees apart, but since your need is 119-91, you will probably be OK. Don't forget that there is a special universal LNB for 119/118.7, because even 61.5 may be phased out or reduced. |

Post Number: 1901 Registered: Sep-06 | make sure your pointed correctly one "trick" is to cover the lnb on the LNB that gets 110 so you point the other one to 119 I never tried it are you useing a ditck switch before the dish500? |
Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 5878 Registered: Jun-06 | Is that not the same thing as saying : Set the 110 to DisEqC setting "none"? |

Post Number: 1904 Registered: Sep-06 | ya that works sometimes but, with the LNB blocked by the foil or whatever it can NOT give false signal.. now SNOW is coming here 2-6 inches we need that now with 1/3 of state out of power.. |
Bronze Member Username: JoeturnPost Number: 72 Registered: Apr-06 | Another trick is to use the DIPSQ switch that came with the reciever that supplys 4 different recievers with one port out to sat!USE it out at the dish with all those LNBs!! Just reverse those ports to reciever1 to =lnb 1/sat1 recieve2=lnb2/sat2 ect.. ant the out to sat == into your house where it can be connected to the same type DiPsW connected the right way to feed 4 different reicevers! A forget about all them choices in the menu to set to off and none!! The fiol wilbe needed then for surebut it will never go bad!!!! |

Bronze Member Username: JoeturnPost Number: 73 Registered: Apr-06 | No multi switc, no port settings>just set standard local freq and scan;) |
Gold Member Username: Ke5aqnIF I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER, I WILL FIND... Post Number: 1907 Registered: Sep-06 | that would work......so he does not need to point it first? I always have to point a antenna first mabee its just me but I find the antenna must be looking at the correct sat |
Bronze Member Username: JoeturnPost Number: 74 Registered: Apr-06 | Yes all the LNBs have to be pointed at the intended sat! So after doing that, you can combine them using the regular DiSqE as a co-phasing harnnes! never tried the 500 built in thou it may get confused?? This would not work back in the dtv days as the h/v was odd/even oriented! Now the NEW LNBs will take to it like a sick kitten to a warm brick! |

Gold Member Username: Ke5aqnIF I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER, I WILL FIND... Post Number: 1920 Registered: Sep-06 | Haniban, that would be stupid to compared to a single LNB and a motor....I get 17 sat's that set up you showed would get 5. that would ROB this user of 15 satellites... I would not be able to sleep tonight if I had posted a suggestion that would get someone LESS than what was already suggested..A motor and lnb that can get circular and liner has unlimited potential... And the cost of that eyesore with a sad amount of sat'sis the same as the lnb I suggested that can receive over 17 sat's |
Silver Member Username: HshakarchiPost Number: 159 Registered: May-06 | It was Just A sujjestion !!! Question to:THE FTA TESTER. I always wanted to put a motor.. how long will it take to flip back and forth between Satellites ? |
Gold Member Username: Ke5aqnIF I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER, I WILL FIND... Post Number: 1922 Registered: Sep-06 | depends on how far it has to move...from 81 to say 148 about 20 seconds.....from 110 to 119 10 seconds....so not that long its a trade off for the amount of sat's you can receive. |
Bronze Member Username: JoeturnPost Number: 80 Registered: Apr-06 | the only down fall is all the recievers have to watch the same sat with a motorized single lnb |
Gold Member Username: Ke5aqnIF I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER, I WILL FIND... Post Number: 1931 Registered: Sep-06 | Mr JoeTurn, Once again you jumped in a thread without reading. In no place were the user has posted here do I see were he will be using more than one receiver. Also you can NEVER have 2 DiSqE in the same circuit The receiver would not be able to tell what switch to control so it would get all confused. |
