Looking to replace the door speakers in my car. What would be the best 6.5" speakers? and an amp to power them? all for ~$100-150? Was looking at some RF T162C's, are they decent?

are the eD 6000S V2 components good? They're discounted, $95, wondering if that was a good deal or not???

i suggest waiting a bit more and saving some money. 150 for amp and speakers isnt gonna get you much at all. 250, at the minimum, is a much better budget to work with. most people concerned with how their car sounds will spend at least 250 between components and speakers.

Thanks for the input. Might save up a lil bit, but then what could I get for ~$250 that would be good quality?

Might also just get those pioneers or rsd's if i find them cheap or something. And how would I power those the best? Thanks again.

I would buy the Polk db6500 or db6501. I own the Polk db6500 and they perform great with a clean 50 watts. They are extremely musical and I listen to everything. Use 80-100HZ xover and clean amp(alpine,rf,infinity, kenwood, or better).
You can pick em up for $125 on ebay. They'll perform reasonably off your headunit till you get an amp too.

Was just looking through woofersetc.com, and found these...

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5207

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1090

These good deals? Open to any suggestions, pretty much $250 limit at this point though. For an amp and pair of good speakers for my doors.

Also, for an amp, would it be better/worse to have a 4-channel running to 2 speakers with both sides of channels bridged? Rather than a 2-channel running to 2 speakers?

Was considering this amp, only for the price...again, open to suggestions.

Sorry for all the questions, lol, trying to figure out stuff for christmas when i'll have money to spend.

go listen to a bunch of speakers at a stereo shop...decide what sounds good to you. figure out if you like heavy midbass, bright tweeter, mellow tweeter, etc. then come back here and tell us what sounds good to you.

read through this thread though. there's decent info posted here.

also let us know stuff like budget, genres you listen to, etc

i could rifle off a bunch of names, but everybody has different ears, and every brand sounds a bit different from other brands. its best to audition and decide waht you like. i advise NOT purchasing a mainstream brand though. you typically get better sound through smaller, less well known companies.
