type rs' come in either dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm vc. either pick the amp you want first and match the sub with it, or vice versa. so if you get a dual 4ohm vc, get an amp that'll do about 600-800wrms at 2ohm. little more if you're smart with it.
just grab a dual 2ohm vc type r and a sundown sae1000d. amp can be bought from dealer for $300 shipped, and is alot better than that hifonics amp you were thinking of.
