I have a viewsat extreme using sat 110 & 119. I've recently move and now not able to pickup the above birds, but can pick up Nimiq 1,3 and Nimiq 2. Can someone show me the Antenna/satellite Setup for the Nimiq birds. Also, will the dish 500 works? Thanks.

this is a very confusing post!

I'll take a stab at it anyway!

All DBS hardware is compatible this means the dish 500 will work on any two ku sats that are 9 degrees apart!

So yes you can get 91 and 82 with it!

With pole perfectly vertical(plumb)Aim the eastward lnb at 91 and the westward lnb will be automatically trained on 82 adjust dish& lnb settings for maximum quality!! How did I do??

Wrap Allumonum foil over the LNB that your not aligning this will assure you did not aim the wrong lnb at the wrong bird! Dont forget to remove the alluminum foil so the other lnb can see!!

OOOOOPPPPS I made a boo boo!! That's the East LNB gets the 82 degree sat and the west lnb gets the 91 degree sat! Id'e go for the 82 and put the foil over the west lnb! Please excuse!!

The focal points are reflected to the opposite side of the dish!

joeturn and jagr1234, thanks for your help! I'm able to pickup both 82 and 91. I've been trying to tweak the dish for the last hr but just not able to get better S and Q. I'm getting mid 70's signal for both but quality from 30 to 70 on 91, and 40's and lower for 82. It's getting dark outside so I'll continue tomorrow. Any suggestions to tweak dish for better S and Q would definitely be helpful and appreciative. Again thanks so muuuuuch.

Dustin,

You did not include your location in any post. If you are located in the USA quality of about what you got on BEV is the best you can get.Depending on how far from Canada you are located.

Here is a neat site that makes pointing the dish easer you change the location to were you are and change to any sat you want to point to.

http://www.dishpointer.com/

If you need help getting the dish500 working let us know. It had a switch built in so no switch is needed.

Sorry, I'm in USA (TX), I got the Elavation and Azimuth correct, but not sure about the skew. My location show skew of -7.6, but is that backing 7.6 from the midpoint (90 degree mark on dish)? thanks

If your in Texas you have done a great job getting BEV with that much quality. You cant get any better I am just across the red river and have about the same with 31" dish or 18".

So now enjoy some TV

I was able to get channels from 91 earlier before BEV went down, but no channels on 82 because quality too low, in the 30's. thanks

for 91 try t6 at 10750 I think you will gain signal& quality It might not show any quality because of someone elses TP is entered but a blind scan will bring the quality up to par on all active TPs! I'm in Kissimmee,Fl. where 91 is supposed to be impossible but the impossible just takes a couple of minutes longer! After the fix that is;)
