Any1 have any good or bad to say about them because he said I can get a 200A for 465 shipped and I think I'm going to go with tht but Idk much about them and when I did read something it was bad.
I have a 190A HO alternator from Excessive Amperage. I believe it was $325 or $350. Have had it over a year and no problems. Great product, and great guy. Took a couple of weeks to get, but I have nothing but good things to say about him and his work. If you need one, get from EA
dwight i have a 300amp in my mountaineer and its been working perfectly for almost 2 years. it makes a little bit more noise than the stock did, and im sure i could fix that if i really tried but im lazy.
Dwight you MAY not even need an HO alternator with the system you're putting in. Why got through all this trouble until you even know if you need it or not?
called mechman they can get a me a 220 amp for 619 shipped tht is alot when ni only need like a 180 amp have you guys ever heard of or used maniacelectronicmotors.com they also have an ebay store they want 401 shipped on a 180 amp i was going to do tht but some1 said tht they dont trust them
well with an 80 alt i thought it was a definite but yea ill just wait and see what did you say was the cutoff line for voltage drops like 12.5 anything under is clipping? and how bad is clipping like if i play it high volumes to where it clips for a couple mins every now and then it wont be doing tht much damage will it?
nicky where are you getting the 50 dollar things from its 200 amp 465 from excessive and 401 for a 180 amp from another company i was going to go with the EA but MS basically said they suck like i hate hearing mixed reviews and alts are serious business if you get a bad 1 it can damage alot of stuff
