I'm looking to possibly re-model an attic space into a media room. I have a bedroom right on the other side of the back wall and the master bedroom would be below. The front and one side will would be an exterior wall. The last wall would be beteen the gameroom and mediaroom.
Is there any recommendations on insulation or something I should put up on the walls or floor before the drywall and carpet are installed? I mostly want to cut down on the sound in the bedrooms and possibly help out the sound inside the room.
I know there is something by Dynamat but it seems fairly expensive and I don't know if it's worth the expense. Is there anything like a a specific rating for insulation or a film similar to a dyanmat that I should install?
