| Would a SVS PCi+ 23-31 be timbre matched to Axiom surround speakers? Does the timbre match matter on subs? |

timn8ter | I've been able to successfully blend subwoofers in by getting a test tone disk and a SPL (sound pressure level) meter, taking measurements across a frequency range from 20 Hz to 200 Hz. I then used a parametric equalizer to ensure that when the subs kicked in they weren't overpowering the rest of the speakers. timn8ter | Oh yeah, to specifically answer the timbre matching question: When you get below 100 Hz timbre matching is virtually a non-issue. |

G-Man | Very true Tim. Subwoofers, if they are made well and are true subwoofers, have no real timbre or tonal attributes. Those that have tonal attributes are struggling. |
