Hi Nalyn, I have before a direct tv dish according to lyngsat is the same 119 W of dishnetwork. If is the same 119 W, why do you think when i do scan i do not have any channel in echostar 7? Do i have to move the antenna? and if so why if say 119 W? Thank you in advance.
mar-vel nalyn can not answer you at this time . he is busy little . but the answer is there is difference in term of pointing your dish they are not in same pointing so try to adjust your dish . read about satfinder. they are many tools that shows the elevation the azimuth ect .
mar-vel : Both cartier1 and Kavin Reno are able helpers. I will stay out of this, except to say that you might consider getting a new DN compatible LNB, if things do not work.
the direct tv dish here in states works for both dtv and dn. using the same lnb. it says 119w for both but it is slightely different in asimuth and elevation.
so if the direct tv dish is intalled for direct tv you will not get any channel . you have to move it otherwise you can not get dn channels . and using direct tv lnb is just fine for dn . i have 2 dish made for direct tv and im using them for dn . i have no idea what is going on in canada but in states this is what it is .
Hey, cartier To point to a Satellite at a Longitude of 119 degrees from your location, I don't care if you use a DirecTV, Dish Network Dish or a Beer can, the Elevation and the Azimuth to that Satellite of 119 degress Longitude is still the same from your location.I have never heard since a thing. Where did you find this information, that the Elevation and Azimuth are Slightely different between the two(2)?
