They are the same..Its just really usually called the Viewsat Ultra...the VS 2000 refers to the Platinum and the Extreme usually..there is ONLY 1 Viewsat Ultra..
Thanks LK, though on the viewsat website under support I did find a link to download the "VS2000 ULTRA Factory Bin File - V0124. Am gonna pickup another receiver, probably viewsat this afternoon to replace my aging 2500a clone to converted 2700 and wanna make sure I don't end up with another clone. Way too many unscrupulous dealers in this part of the world, specially ones looking to sell to the frugal like me, lol.
if u are buying a viewsat there is really shiny sticker in back of reciever.. that mean it guinene.. if not u are buying clone..+ if the dealer u are buying its official dealer he must have a logo on his shop.. ask for it.. they should posted this on their shop's website or in their shop..
