After spending an entire weekend scanning, testing and analyzing. I came to the conclusion of:
No serious threat on PTA Let me repeat this once again. Nothing to worry.
I gave too much credit to Nagra team neglecting all the credits to View Tech Team.
- I did find strange cases but turned out that can be easily explained due to movements of new channels and adding of the new HD lineup. So after all the upgrades were just HD channel placement without affecting existing programs.
- I also did find polarity activities that may affect receivers and various of my favorite switches. They were conducting some polarity tests. The things that make yo reset receivers by turning OFF/ON. Still unknown what kind of tests but I doubt if it will totally disrupt PTA.
If yo ask me what is the sudden change of heart? I'll tell yo as much as Nagra doing all efforts for total destructions. View Tech comes back with the usual triumph and saves the day. On and off Cat and Mouse chase. In this case the mouse leads the chase and has the upper hand.
- Nagra team did great job taking away the Power Scan (Blind Scan) - Nagra did manage to take out quality signal level upon key change. - Now Nagra's latest tests with polarity. - View tech managed to do gapless auto roll without any down time.
If they can take away your ability to use DISEqC switches or any satellite combiner etc. Maybe enough to piss yo off. If they can take away ability to scan or re-scan their satellites with conventional FTA receivers etc. If they can create some hardware incompatibility to existing conventional FTA receivers. It will be their only hope to succeed.
When they changed their programmable access code card cost must have been over 20 Million US dollars. Changing hardware receivers will be in the Billions. Nothing may ever work to combat PTA
This is not about me feeding yo wrong information. This is about testers who are constituently spoon fed new bins and latest changes and testers sought understanding the on going battle first hand. Which tester yo really are?

If yo experience unsual long or strange auto roll - Try to connect Dish/LNB to receiver with no DISEqC switch - They are building new polarity streams - They may come up with a fix later to correct this (I dunno) - But it appears to me they are attacking hardware
If they don't come up with a fix, just try what I say.

If YO have been in this hobby very long, then YO would know that this is how it goes. One camp comes out first, then others follow suit. Not always the same camp comes out first. VS wasnt first last time. This isnt a long delay.
