Ok so I've had the pansat 2500a for like 6 months but Ive never had to do anything but change the keys. And I am not talking to the guy who set me up with this anymore so Im very stuck. I have no idea what a bin is or how you upload it to the reciever and now someone told me to convert it to a 2700. I am so lost.I learn quick so if someone can help me I would sooo appreciate it.
Do I need a special wire that goes from my computer to recievr? Where do i put it? Does my reciever need to still be hooked up while Im downloading from my computer? Do i need a computer program. where do i get these things ? This is bad!!LOL I need a satelite for dummies instruction guide. Please help.
Well grab a cup of coffee and investagate throughout the forums here all the info has been posted before. If you will notice satgrl is debating the issue her self right now and has kinda done a little leg work for you far as the question go you might like to read along.
ok a bin is to upgrade it with new settings. but since pansat 2500A does not have too much memory it can not take the new bins now..so they stopeed making bins/supports for it to work...the best way is to convert it to 2700A which takes a few steps but it works!!...what i did was read this post and it helped me..download the file and it will teach u how to convert it from a 2500 to a 2700 if u conert then u have to use special bin files called jwh files and the new bin file for the jwh bin is not out yet because yesterday dishnetwork was down because they changes the settings!!(ECM)...so if u are thinking about converting just wait till someone posts a thread about where to get the new bin AFTER you convert it...ok hope this helps thats all i know..lol..
YES U NEED A WIRE A USB ADAPTER!! GET IT AT RADIO SHACK !!! U NEED LOADERS TOO THERE ARE SPECIFIC WEBSITES U CAN GET BINS FROM!! BUT ONCE AGAIN U HAVE PANSAT 2500 SO THEY DONT HAVE NO MORE BINS....THAT WAS THE END OF PANSAT 2500 U SHOULD THINK ABOUT CONVERTINGGGG!!!!;)

I'm posting my own Pansat 2500 - Pansat 2700 Conversion Kit. All Pansat 2500 users can easily convert their receiver to a Pansat 2700. Now, this post is NOT for Pansat 2500 CLONE receivers. My intructions are very clear and I've attached all the files that you need to successfully convert your Pansat 2500 to a Pansat 2700. Also, I have attached the latest working bin for those receivers. Anyway, have fun and please tell me if you liked my "Converting Procedure" or not. I've posted another thread where FLU users can convert their receiver to a Pansat 2700. That post was a success and I hope this post also gets a good feedback. Now, this thread will hold all the discussions regarding Pansat 2500 - Pansat 2700 conversion. Good Luck and please reply soon!

You need a rs232 cable for connection to the pansat 2500 if you computer doesn't have a rs232 serial port then you will need a usb to serial converter also.
