Silver Member Username: DghummanOntario Canada Post Number: 113 Registered: Feb-06 | I have satellite 110 and 119 on the same dish it was working fine untill few days ago but now 119 is not working. i have signal strength of 76 and quality of 86 for 110 but for 119 i have signal strength of 60 and quality is 0. i tried adjusting the satellite but nothing change do i need to change the lnb. my receiver is viewsat ultra. please help |

Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 13005 Registered: Jan-06 | could be dish alignment, if dish 119 has moved even slightly by wind etc....or LNB...or cable from 119 LNB...or connections...or switch...etc....switches ($5) are most common problem and go bad easily, and surely if U changed it, but never unplugged the receiver..also recheck the antenna settings in both receivers.. |

Silver Member Username: DghummanOntario Canada Post Number: 115 Registered: Feb-06 | thanks lk for the info, i have changed the switches now i have cheita switches, as i have mentioned earlier i have 119 and 110 on one dish and i can receive 110 very good and the signal strength is 76 and quality is 86. if the dish had moved then i would not get 110 also, i might be wrong so please tell me what to do, should i try changing the lnb or cable please advice |

Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 13022 Registered: Jan-06 | U have to try 1 thing at a time...process of elimination...start with the easiest things...like, changing channels on the 119, rechecking antenna receiver settings, rebooting the receiver, then cable connections, then replacing the switch again, then replacing the 119 cable from LNB 119, then a slight dish adjustment, then LNB replacement....but u will likely find the solution very soon.. |
