Silver Member Username: AsharfiPost Number: 893 Registered: Aug-06 | Well, you need the latest bin for FLUs, but one of the older bins are working good with autoroll. Then, you have to scan your sats and you`re good to go. |
Bronze Member Username: SkyjaysonPost Number: 13 Registered: Oct-06 | scan your sats? would u be a little more specific, just wanna watch NBA games |

Bronze Member Username: Espn3Post Number: 94 Registered: Aug-06 | Jayson, go to MENU -> INSTALLATION -> Blind Scan -> get one from Selected Satellite. If you don't have anything under Selected Satellite, then go to Antenna Setup and select one based on how your dish is oriented. Also READ through these threads. Good Luck. |

Silver Member Username: AsharfiPost Number: 894 Registered: Aug-06 | Jayson, You should know the name of the satellite(s) you're using and before you scan or blind-scan any satellite, you need correct Antenna Settings. |

Silver Member Username: AsharfiPost Number: 928 Registered: Aug-06 | Jayson, How about you first convert your receiver to a Pansat 2700 and then ask for help because FLUs are dying and soon there will be no support for those receivers. You can easily convert your receiver to a Pansat 2700 via serial port. |
Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 4021 Registered: Jun-06 | Jayson: Before you convert to 2700, do this: Load 293T BIN in your receiver using BL updater 1.4. Then scan any one satellite you were scanning before. future-fta site has erased their Pansat 2500 files, but You can get these files at Make sure you unzip the files before you use. |
Bronze Member Username: SkyjaysonPost Number: 17 Registered: Oct-06 | what specific wire should i get to connect FLUs to laptop? if any one would give me a link to purchase. |
Silver Member Username: AsharfiPost Number: 937 Registered: Aug-06 | New laptops don't have RS 232 serial port. So, I guess you have to use some USB to serial port connecter. And, if you have that serial port, you need this serial cable: RS 232 female-female STRAIGHT CABLE with 9 pins on both sides |
Bronze Member Username: SkyjaysonPost Number: 18 Registered: Oct-06 | should i buy this? http://www.emtcompany.com/products/adapters/dxubdb9-usb-to-serial-db9-adapter-ca ble.htm?gclid=CMntpr6Hj48CFRUhgAodLkVjFw |
