No Signal, Help setting up Dish....

When I bought it the guy programmed it for me and just told me go home and plug it in( I had Direct TV before so the dish was still in position). I went home and setup the dish ect and had a signal of 65-75% but the channels were searching for hours and I still saw nothing so I went outside to adjust the dish(Oh Boy) who told me to do that...when I came back inside I also reset everything in the settings to default. Then there were no channels?....NONE...Can someone please help me setup my receiver and dish I will post my location and info from SatLex... Along with their brands and BIN PGMs Keep in mind Circular LNBs for 61.5/82/91/110/119/129/148 with 20" dish Linear LNBs for 97/121 with 30" dish |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 1506 Registered: Oct-06 | Well This can be a highly complicated issue Based on what yo provided - Yo got a standatd LNB - Yo R at Bridgetown, Barbados which requires 4' dish My main question is what does your LNB look like? All DSS LNBs use 13V and 18V But I'm still guessing your LNB require an additional amplification voltage injected Headend Amp/LNB Power Supply This could be why yo are not getting a lock up signal. Or it could be your installation process is wrong I could be wrong since I'm guessing To confirm this DOES YOUR LNB LOOK LIKE THIS?  - To find correct angle yo locate true north and start counting angle clockwise or use a compass - Is your dish aimed correctly? - Are yo moving your dish/elevation for final tweek? - Are yo selecting right satellite in antenna setup? - Are yo selecting right LNB type in antenna setup? If yo R doing all above correct then it has to be your LNB not compatible. It maybe was compatible with your previous dish I would say to avoid any trouble Just buy a known Circular LNB ($15 off e-bay) Stap it nicely in place of your LNB Yo can use your receiver as a satfinder by turning the beep option in your installation setup Yo'll be up and runing in few minutes |

Bronze Member Username: BowshockerPost Number: 22 Registered: Sep-07 | when you go to antenna setup does echo 3 flash in top right of screen. im having same issue , echo 3 doesnt flash on top right also signal 76 quality jumps 0-75. unable to lock in echo 3 at all. IT is weird |
