Currently I have C00lsat 5000 receiver, and it does not work on GC. I've heard that Pansat 3500SD would work with some bin on GC channels, so I am thinking about buying it. Could you please confirm if GC works on Pansat 3500SD receiver, please?
Yes... the Pancrap 3500 with bin 328 does have GC, as does other pancrap models and other reciever companies...so its confirmed for ya...but none may have GC, 1 week from now...so don't go buy a Pancrap or another receiver for that purpose..The coo*lsat 5000 is a decent receiver, but presently doesn't have a GC bin..GC bins/files are not commonly available...just recently some were released, but could die tomorrow and not have another GC fix for 6 months..
Sonicview and Viewsat also have GlobeCast/GC bins NOW, and are much better receivers...and who knows, Coo*lsat use to have a GC bin in 139, so they may again..and there are many DN international channels (61.5W sat) without a need for GC..
Thanks LK; I really appreciate your opinion. It just seems to be in the past that Pansat came up way faster with the fix for GC than any other receiver. So, spending $159 might not be such a bad move for a Pansat receiver. Again...in my opinion.
Bin 139 is the old GC/DN/Bev Coo*lsat bin...which is no longer working..
Bin 328 is the latest Pansat 3500 bin with a working GC autoroll...and it has DN and Bev, like all bins do...if U have LNB's dedicated to their satellites....
