New member Username: RnarcoPost Number: 4 Registered: Sep-06 | I am trying to setup B3V (82 & 91 sats) on a Dish 500 with DP twin LNB and I have a few questions regarding pointing the dish and dish settings. (Box:Neusat HD) First regarding pointing, I have 82 locked but I can't get a signal on 91 by just adjusting the skew. I need to turn the azimuth to get signal which then eliminates my 82 signal. So I read on another thread that you aim at 82 and then point at 91 by adjusing the skew, so my assumption is that the skew is lowered (which will help turn the LNB west a little) to the lowest setting possible without sacrificing my 82 signal, which for me is ~58 - am I on the right track or should I be using a higher skew setting although it doesn't seem to matter with regards to the 91 signal. My dish angle is also higher than that recommended on satcalculator (I'm using about 51 vs the 45 rec). Azimuth is approx. 174. Zip code is 63366. For my second question when I went into the Neusat menu to set up the dish, I select 82(Nimiq2) and then selected DishPRO for the switch and it automatically detected LNB1 under Diseqc input(does this mean port 1?). I tried switching it to 2 but the signal went to 0. The reason I ask was because once again I read on another thread that this should be set to Port 2for 82 and Port 1 for 91, I don't know if it matters or not but I thought I would ask. When I do select 91(Nimiq 1) and then select DishPro as the switch it tries to autodetect the LNB and doesn't find anything and signal goes to 0. If I manually change the LNB to 1 then I get my signal status for sat 82, change it to any other number and it goes back to 0 (meaning I'm not seeing which is not what I expected with a twin DP LNB) Any help with pointing or settings would be much appreciated. I've read on other threads that you try locking on 82 and then adjusting skew to get 91 but its not working, I can't get any signal for it. Is there another way I should be doing it? |
