Loosing vertical polarity means you are loosing DC voltage 13/14 Volts

Reason(s)
- Coaxial short or moisture on one of many cables
- DISEqC input mismatching multiple receivers
- Short on DISEqC switch or LNB
- Use of splitters
- Bad cabling or connectors
- Wrong antenna setup

List all hardware yo got (i.e. no stories)receivers, LNBs, dish, cables etc. Include # of multiple receivers.

thanks for the response; i am using a fortec cloned to a 2700 pansat, single standard lnb (approx 10 yrs old); and i am splitting the signal to power two receivers, using an old regular tv cable spliter. do i need to rescan every time? or is there a better spliter out there

All yo need is an LNB that has 2 outlets
Called Dual Circular LNB ($15 off e-bay)
1 Coaxial input to each receiver
Yo can't use splitters or yo'll have polarity problems just like what is going on now.

Circular for 61.5/82/91/110/119,148 with 20" dish
Linear for 97/121 with 30" dish

Upload

If yo have Multiple Satellites and would like to use both receivers then Yo need a DISEqC switch. It looks like a 4 input splitter but the right kind for high frequency required for satellites
Upload

2 DISEqC (1 for each receiver)
Also required to match each input to each LNB of satellite respectively. Along with simple antenna setup.

What yo are saying doesn't make sense to me regarding polarity problems.
The part were yo are splitting
I would try to eleminate problem by not using splitter.

Yo have to provide a list of hardware
So I don't have to guess what yo got

They maybe a better bin for your fortec or didn't use correct bin to start with.

If yo got only one receiver and would like to share to different rooms
