I'm looking for a single 12 in sealed or ported (max dims 14*14*28)enclosure. I listen to rock/pop/alternative, and ocassionaly metal. Never rap or hip hop, except for the occassional classic Nuaghty by Nature's "OPP" .
I'm looking for Clean, Clear, Punchy bass, not booming. I want to be able to hear it significantly in my car, but I don't care if the rest of the world hears it.

The vehicle is an '07 HHR and I'm looking for something that will blend as well as possible with CDT CL-S60A or Alpine Type R 6.5 components. Mid-bass at this time is not an option.

There will be 600w RMS available at 4ohm final load. This is bridged power, so other resistances are not an option for a single sub.
I was thinking of an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 as 1 sub that might fit the bill, but they're hard to find. And the VQ is kinda out of my budget.

I'm looking to spend MAX $150 but really more like $100-125. I know that doesn't help much.
So please offer up your suggestions.

Thanks!

Mazda, Josh gave a great sub to check out. If that doesn't fit the budget, I have a GREAT deal on a sub that fits your budget and what you need. shoot me an email on help with the BM or another option.

While that SI BM looks like a nice sub, it only comes in dual 4ohm. I need single 4ohm or Dual 2ohm

Kevin - Email sent.

My mistake, misread, you need 4 ohm final for single sub.

"Clean, Clear, Punchy bass"

An L5? If it's anything like my L7, that definintly won't fit his description.

that infinity would be perfect by its self my mom listens to the same stuff (except the OPP part) but she has 1 10.1 and its awsome sounding you hear it in the car and you can also give them more than recomeneded power go with the infinity you will like it better

i ahve 2 12" Stereo Intergrity BMs (SI BMs) and they sound awesome...one will give you the nice punchy, tight bass you're looking for.
