Not a very good choice

I can see yo want this for HD FTA programs but not too many of HD FTA broadcast available at present time and I don't know if yo are planning to flash it cuz there is no BIN PGM to flash it that I know of.

VU-Sat Ultra or PVR-7000 is what I'll pick if I'm buying an FTA receiver.

I don't recommend any HD FTA receiver at this time. Maybe HD antenna to get local HD programs, news and Sports with a regular SD receiver.

i'm thinking of the same line as nancy..i agree with king's comments on the HD channels. but the price i'm getting quoted here for the captain 8000 is $250. you can't go wrong for that price..pic quality is amazing (that's what i hear). SD channels apparently look much better because of the up conversion feature in the receiver..so what if i get 5/6 HD channels on Bev..for the price, don't you think its a good buy??
