New member Username: ZeyadPost Number: 1 Registered: Sep-07 | Hi, I just got the SV 8000 HD and I got the Qboard adoptor I installed it. I am ready to view some hd content. Do I need an HD dish? or can I get HD with my Pro 500 dish? If I need to get a new dish - can you recommend which one? thanks |

I believe dish 100 or 1000.2 have the lnb that points 110, 119, 129 which has most of the HD content. You'd have one dish or keep the 500 but you'll still have to get another dish to point to 129 or 61.5. This two sats have about the same hd content. You gotta read. It is weird that you dished out $450.00 for your receiver and you don't know what you are getting into, anyways, you got a lot of reading to do. |

My guess will be few weeks 25 to 50 weeks. To get DN HD yo must purchase an additional hardware module known as 8PSK Module. About $200 USD (on e-bay) I do not recommend any HD at this time to any one. It is much cheeper to subscribe for a year until prices stablizes. Or get a cheap HD antenna and watch local HD newes and sports. Click here for HD antennas https://www.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?tpc=2&post=1062457#POST1062457 |

Gold Member Username: Cartier1Post Number: 1019 Registered: Feb-07 | it's interesting question king . does the dishpro lnbs work to get hd . in an other word the high definition reception is done by the reveiver and not by the lnb's. is that right ? so using lnb standard . dp. or dpp. wont make any difference?????????? |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 1422 Registered: Oct-06 | If yo got 61.5 International yo don't really need 129 but if yo got 110/119 it maybe better with all 3 on one dish using dish 1000 3-LNB system I havn't checked lyngsat for such a long time Yes DN HD programs today on all 3 sats 110/119/129 As well as 61.5 129 and 61.5 share many common HD programs |
