Silver Member Username: Kpa2727Post Number: 579 Registered: May-07 | i worked at lowes for almost 2 years thier to damn expensive trust me u will drop nearly 400 there plus they don't have thick stuff. |
Bronze Member Username: Bigmatt1986Jacksonville, Florida U.S Post Number: 11 Registered: Aug-07 | Crap because i hate ordering off the internet. And also i forgot the equation for finding how much product i need after my plans. Just so i dont over order the plexi glass. |
Silver Member Username: Kpa2727Post Number: 580 Registered: May-07 | to much is never a bad thing to little and u got problems. |
Gold Member Username: WingmanaliveA pic is worth 1000 posts!! Post Number: 9703 Registered: Jun-06 | Actually if you sit and do the math when you order the plexi you can save yourself the hassles of cutting it yourself. Their cuts are razor perfect and it's all downhill after that. No waste means you're not paying for product you don't use. It truly is that expensive. |
Bronze Member Username: Bigmatt1986Jacksonville, Florida U.S Post Number: 12 Registered: Aug-07 | so what site will cut my measurements for me if i give them my plans and should i use 3/4 or 1" thick plexi or other |
Bronze Member Username: Bigmatt1986Jacksonville, Florida U.S Post Number: 13 Registered: Aug-07 | Also would it sound the same as it would in MDF board? |
Gold Member Username: WingmanaliveA pic is worth 1000 posts!! Post Number: 9706 Registered: Jun-06 | Use the Professional plastics link above and use the cut to size calculator. Their tolerances are .125" so just round out your box dimensions to that. No splintered edges and clean sharp cuts. You'll see how expensive it is when you input the sizes and get the cost. For example a 3/4" thick piece cut to 12 1/4 X 36 3/4" is $100.50. Each! Pricey!!!!! |
