My friend and i are both putting new bigger systems in are cars, we went AMP shopping yesterday just to price and look around. I would like to know if the following set ups would be good and which one is the best- if any work! I am going to run 4 Rockford Punch HE 12" subs. I want RF AMPS only. (All this is Thereticlly because AMP power is not ever exact)
1 800 RMS Mono AMP- run each sub in paralell to give 200 watts each 1 800 RMS 2 channel AMP- 2 subs to each channel also giving 200 watts each sub in paralell 1 800 RMS 4 channel AMP- each sub in each channel (2) 400 RMS AMP's- 2 subs to each AMP so each gets 200 watts. Give me some advice- i want to get it right the first time!
sounds like the same thing i want to do, going with the same subs but only 2 instead of 4, don't know or understand enough about amps to know what to go with. But, like you, i want to stay with all rockford! any suggestions on a rockford amp to pound a pair of punch HE 12" subs? could i go with an 800 rms 2 channel amp and run 1 sub on each channel?
