So I decided I would buy one of those extended terminal bolts for the battery so that my power wire and battery connector thing would fit better and wouldn't be just all jammed into the battery. Well turns out the bolt was too long, so the other day my truck wouldn't start so I had to put the old bolt back in and carry on my merry way.

I got back to my apartment and tried to see why my battery wouldn't start, like was something fried or was there not a good connection. Well it turns out there wasn't a good connection but I did rig it to where everything was touching enough to give a charge. Started the truck and my amp won't turn on. So I checked the remote, power, and replaced the ground wire(no there is no paint where the ground is). Everything seems fine. I went ahead and made a make-shift washer out of aluminum foil to take up the extra space b/w the end of the bolt power wire connector and top of the battery terminal connector. The "washer" is pretty thick.

After all that my truck will start but my amp for some reason still won't turn on.
I checked each fuse on the amp and the power fuse and they are all fine.

Can someone help me please??????
So I made a make-shift washer out of a pretty thick layer of aluminum foil.

put a meter to that b1tch and find out whats going on.
Check the connections again around and on the battery for both + and neg.

Definitely dump the washer. I'd stop by lowes to pick up a real one and see if that helps too.

first off don't do that get a real washer the aluminum foil can get very very hot and cause alot of problems. u never did state if the main amp power feeds had power. lastly a fuse can still be toast and not see it. u need to put a multi meter in continuity mode to check the fuses. but a easy way is check the amps main power feeds for power. then re post back here on how u made out, btw neve half azz stuff just to make it work thats how ppl fry shite.

Yeah but that's the thing, there is no sign of any type of Frying. My amp didn't clip. My truck just didn't start, and that was because there wasn't a strong connection due to the bolt being to long. I didn't state if the power feed had power because I don't have a meter to test it. What should the leads be touching to test the fuses/power feed, I wanna make sure I do it right.
