What up fellow's, I am wondering were would be the best place for a single sub in a trunk install.I have heard was put the sub on one side of the trunk instead of in the middle but wasn't sure.

I drive a 1997 Saturn SL2 like this but mines is forest green

oh yea it's in a 3cuft bot SEALED so what would be the best option:

1.Place sub on one side and fold down rearseats
2.Face towards rear of trunk about a couple of inch's off
3.Face sub into cabin fold down seats but place subs to back of trunk
4.Facing rear but box behind rearseats

test it and see but firing back or up will be best probably and port the rear deck to let the sound come in to the cabin better so you dont have to fold your seats down

Yea, i would fire it into the cabin. I think it sounds better, and there is alot less rattle.

but if I fire the sub into cabin wouldn't you notice distortion quicker? and then would I have the sub far back in the trunk or near backseats..........and is it just me but when you fire subs into cabin with trunk installs doesn't the sub not hit the lower bass as good

firing into the cab would cut out trunk rattle pretty much but you would have to keep the seat down and id like to keep my use of it...plus you usually loose spl firing into the cab.....keyword usually... again test it and see
