Yep.It would sure come in handy if you wanted to tune your box high to hit a number and then you could tune it low for daily driving,it's very convenient. |

Silver Member Username: Theweasel2 12 FI SSD, Colorado U.S. of A Post Number: 980 Registered: Mar-06 | they also don't take up as much room as a slot port. they're only like 13 bucks a piece for 4" ports |

Silver Member Username: Theweasel2 12 FI SSD, Colorado U.S. of A Post Number: 982 Registered: Mar-06 | i know there are reasons but you can still build a box with the aeroports on the inside and THAT has less port displacement therefore it takes up less room. i don't see what the arguement here is. |

Gold Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 3322 Registered: Jan-06 | What has less port displacement? A slot takes up less room if I am not mistaken. Putting aeros inside actually causes internal turbulance and will hurt spl but there is nobody saying you can't do it. Polo..;) |
Gold Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 3323 Registered: Jan-06 | "eh polo.... its time you get off potts nutz and learn to build your own boxes :-\" That was the first box he built for me. You really need to stop hating! I can't help if I can afford to have someone else build my boxes instead of pretending that I can build my own. I never said I had skillz in woodworking but I do know how to tweak the sh!t out of my setup, probably why I have gone through less and still come out with more...Polo. ;) |

Silver Member Username: Bjfish11Garden Plain, KS USA Post Number: 265 Registered: Dec-06 | I see what Ryan is saying. Given the same port area and port length between an aero port and a slot port, the aero port will have less port displacement. IE- it will take up less volume in the box. This is because the "walls" of the port are thinner. Basically a aero is ~1/8" thick vs. 3/4" of a slot port. |
