if you want a good box at a good price go captive works you will not be disappointed great support the cw 600p this box got it all but the usb stick so spend 200 on a box with usb stick or buy the cw600p for 110CAN and bring box to computer or do like i do leave the box six or seven feet from pc and leave wire behind box

This subject has been beaten to death, at least 100 times this week in various threads..

People, please READ before U post...we don't need 100 new threads , all asking "which receiver do U recommend, and why?"..

I myself think , especially for a newbie, or positively for anybody with a newer computer, should buy a USB ready receiver...and simply use the small cheap little USB stick instead of going thru the hassle of disconnecting cables and moving receivers, EVERY time U need to upload a file etc...The Sonicview 4000 and the Viewsat Ultra have that "USB ready" capability, are inexpensive ($159 includes shipping), and have agreat software support, great quality pic and features...and I suggest to purchase from www.globalewholesalers.biz to ensure U do NOT buy a clone/fake imitation from some other scam site.....

BTW...many people have receivers in their bedrooms, finished basements, dens, and areas not near their computer...so a $15 USB stick (the size of a cigarette lighter) and a USB ready receiver is the ONLY thing that makes sense to me in these days of new computers without serial ports, and only have USB ports...

BTW...its hard to find a compatable WORKING USB adapter for serial to USB port for alot of folks...many people have receivers they cannot use because of the lack of them buying NON USB ready receivers, that require use of a cable!

Some places give U the stick with the receiver, some don't...either way, U can buy the USB stick anyplace for $15, just like buying a CD or DVD anyplace...for a measly $15 I would much rather have receivers anywhere I want, with NO need to disconnect cables and lug around receivers from room to room...NOT having a USB ready receiver is like having a TV with NO remote...makes no sense in this day and age...especially with all new computers, NOT having required serial ports for cable ONLY FTA receivers, and ONLY having USB ports...

IF U could read...U would have seen that I DID answer VERY clearly and WHY, I recommended the USB ready receivers...Sonicview 4000 and VS Ultra...

looks "canadian mounty" is another troublemaker here.....anyways I can/will simply ignore him in the future...I suggest U all do the same...we already have too many jerks here, don't need to feed another one like him...

I just love it when a newbie non poster like "canadian mounties" comes here (using an old nick alias, I'm sure...instead of his usual nick here) and bashes someone for providing info that they requested...it really shows their true intentions here and they're character..

BTW...always look at the "username" under the nick...U can change your nick anytime, but NOT your username...unless U change email address to Ecoustics..U will see that many of these "nicks" (Canadian Mounty) are really the same person as another "nick" (name) by their "username"...
