Silver Member Username: Efil4zagginChi Town, IL Cook Post Number: 230 Registered: Dec-05 | ya your righ...thats why u should find one that puts out something like that puts out high wattage somethin like 15-20amps an the 12v wires, to figure out how many amps u need just look at ur amps RMS and devide it by 12, you'll get the amount of current u need on the 12v rail. Thats only if u want to run the amp to its max performance so u'll need probably about 3/5 of ur amps RMS power!! |

And yes I had great success with a car audio driver for my HT setup. I've done it three times to date and I'm currently tinkering in my head on my next one using the next generation Mag. I had a blast with this and don't see myself ever stopping improving on design. 18" FI Q in a 9.5 cu box tuned to 28hz powered by a 1000w Dayton plate amp. She rocks the house. Here's a vid on its' side playing bass tubes 808's in space. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbrRGdU9qgk And the link to how I made it. https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/off-topic/340368.html Can't wait till my next one. |

Gold Member Username: WingmanaliveA pic is worth 1000 posts!! Post Number: 9356 Registered: Jun-06 | I'm a car audio guy who rolled into a HT guy over time. If you love something enough you'll take it with you no matter where you go. I can't bump in my ride anymore so I take it where I can. If I have to tear my house apart to get my bass addiction satisfied so be it lol. |
